LoveCast: A live virtual dating experience

CarpeDM is an innovative mobile dating app that requires matches to video chat before they can text. When COVID-19 shut down the economy, many businesses including CarpeDM, needed a way to stay relevant and connected to their audience while social distancing restrictions had everyone stuck at home.

The solution? In less than 2 weeks, the IRL team quickly conceptualized and produced a virtual experience called LoveCast - a live, interactive reality dating show (think Love is Blind meets The Circle). Every month, fun singles can apply to be a contestant on LoveCast and if selected, the audience votes to pair the couples for their first video date and then we all get together to watch live on YouTube or Facebook. 

IRL strategically integrated key video-based features of CarpeDM into the show’s concept in order to increase brand awareness + engagement as well as the number of app downloads. 

The result? By creating this buzzworthy experiential concept during a time of economic uncertainty, we were able to garner over 20,000 views across YouTube, Facebook Live, Instagram, and Twitch!
